How to Seal a Bath

How to Seal a Bath is a problem that nearly everybody will encounter.  Why does the bath leak?  What can be done to Seal a Bath?  The problem and the solution lies with the sealant.  When the Bath is installed a silicone sealant is used to Seal the Bath but this is doomed to fail.  The reason being is because the silicone sealant is packed with solvents that evaporate when the silicone is curing causing shrinkage, thus resulting in a leaking Bath.  In addition when the silicone is exposed to U.V over time will harden losing its flexibility also creating a leak.
