Sticking metal to metal has always been problematic. Various adhesives have been tried with little success when trying to stick metal to metal.

For example, superglues and one component mastics which have a difficulty combating the oxidation in metal creating such a problem when sticking metal to metal.

The ultimate product to stick metal to metal is the unique CT1 construction adhesive and sealant. CT1 is a unique hybrid polymer formulation that will create a formidable permanent bond when sticking metal and metal.

CT1 will remain flexible and will not break when the metals expand and contract due to temperature fluctuation. CT1 can even be applied on wet surfaces, even underwater. Many industrial applications especially in the food industry where a maintenance engineer has to stick metal to metal, CT1 solves the problem efficiently with the advantage of having a food approval accreditation.

When sticking metal to metal it is always advisable to clean the surface before bonding, C-Tec’s Multisolve is the perfect product for this, as Multisolve is an environmentally safe aliphatic solvent. Multisolve is non aggressive and will evaporate 100% leaving no residue behind. Multisolve will remove oxidation layers on metal but is also fantastic for removing old silicone, adhesive residue, tar, wax, chewing gum and a multitude of stubborn deposits.
