CT1 the unique sealant and construction adhesive without question is the best Gutter Sealant available. There are so many sealants on the market proclaiming to seal Gutters but if these Gutter Sealants all worked efficiently why are we at C-Tec continually asked during a CT1 demo “ will that seal Gutters?”. We are quite sure we know the reason why these Gutter Sealants don’t perform as they should. There are various reasons but primary is that the majority of sealants for the Gutters are silicone with a high content of solvents within its composition. This is doomed to fail because the solvent will evaporate resulting in the silicone shrinking thus a leaking Gutter. Also the silicone sealant lacks adhesion strength .So in adverse weather conditions where there is a lot of movement in the Gutters the Sealants do not have a good resistance especially with the extreme temperature change from  –  to + and with rain these Gutter Sealants will eventually fail, some sooner than others.
 
CT1 sealant is the best Gutter Sealant available for a number of reasons, here is just a few of them. CT1 Sealant is not a silicone but a revolutionary hybrid polymer formulation that contains no solvents so therefore will never shrink. CT1 sealant has formidable bond strength of 270 n/cm² that in many applications will be as strong as a weld. Many of the Gutters are of a PVC composition and PVC is quite difficult to bond that’s another reason why the conventional Gutter Sealants fail. CT1 sealant is also a high bond construction adhesive that will bond PVC and then seal it. CT1 as a Gutter Sealant is the ultimate Gutter Sealant as it also remains flexible and has an elongation break of 350%. CT1 sealant is extremely environmentally friendly as it is 100% V.O.C free and as a result has a food accredited certification.
 
Before applying CT1 onto the Gutter it is advisable to clean the surface from dirt and moss, our CT1 Multisolve is perfect for this. The conventional Gutter Sealants have to be applied when the Gutter is dry, Gutter Sealants will not stick to a wet surface, a bit restrictive in a country that rains a lot. CT1 Sealant has the unique ability to stick to a wet surface even under water. CT1 Gutter Sealant can even be painted with any type of paint. CT1 sealant is available in several colours and our black and grey is very popular for Gutters. Many people find using a cartridge Gun awkward especially when trying to seal Gutters.
